Frequently asked questions
Why does FlockAround request my location?
FlockAround uses foreground location to show your position, start a route from your current location, provide turn-by-turn navigation, and reroute when necessary. You can decline permission and enter a starting address manually.
Does FlockAround guarantee a camera-free route?
No. Camera locations can change, and available records may be incomplete or outdated. Every route shows both known cameras avoided and known cameras not avoided. Always follow traffic laws and posted signs.
Why can’t a route avoid every known camera?
Avoiding every camera may be impossible because of road connectivity, closures, or the destination’s location. FlockAround reports any known cameras that remain on the selected route.
Why can’t I find an address or business?
Search results come from OpenStreetMap-derived data and can vary by area. Try entering the full street address, city, state, and postal code.
Does FlockAround work offline?
No. Current map tiles, address search, camera information, and route calculation require an internet connection.
How do I change location permission?
Open iOS Settings, select FlockAround, choose Location, and select your preferred setting.
