Effective date: July 27, 2026
Gig Driver Stops helps rideshare and delivery drivers find nearby public
restrooms, stores, and gas stations. This policy explains how information is
handled when you use the mobile application.
Information we handle
Location
If you grant permission, Gig Driver Stops accesses your device’s approximate and
precise location while the app is open. The app uses that location to center the
map, calculate distances, and find relevant places within the loaded area.
Your coordinates are transmitted over encrypted connections to map and place
service providers, including OpenStreetMap-based services, so they can return
map content and nearby place results. We do not use location in the background.
Information we do not collect
Gig Driver Stops does not require an account and does not collect names,
passwords, contact lists, payment information, advertising identifiers, or
user-generated content. The app does not include third-party advertising or
analytics SDKs. Apple or Google processes the app purchase; Rosette Development,
LLC does not receive payment-card information through the app.
How information is used
Location is used only to provide app functionality, including:
- showing the user’s position on the map;
- finding nearby public restrooms, stores, and gas stations;
- calculating approximate distance to a place; and
- passing a selected destination to a navigation app at the user’s request.
We do not sell personal information and do not use location for advertising or
cross-app tracking.
Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services to display maps, retrieve place data, and
open driving directions. These may include OpenStreetMap and Overpass API
services, Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze. Information handled by those
services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention
Gig Driver Stops does not maintain user accounts or a developer-operated
database of location history. Location and nearby results are held in the app’s
working memory as needed to provide the current experience. Third-party
providers may process or retain request information under their own policies.
Your choices
Location permission is optional. You may decline it and use the demonstration
area, or change the permission later in the device’s system settings. You can
stop location access by closing the app or revoking its permission.
Because we do not maintain an account or developer-operated store of personal
data, there is no account data for us to delete.
Children’s privacy
Gig Driver Stops is designed for working drivers and is not directed to children
under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
The app uses HTTPS for place-service requests. No method of electronic
transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or its service providers change. The
effective date above will be revised when a change is published.
